Women, Infants and Children Nutrition Program

The mission of the Washington WIC nutrition program is to improve the lifelong health and nutrition of women, infants and young children in Washington State.

Our friendly staff at Asotin County Health District help pregnant women, new mothers and young children eat well, learn about nutrition and stay healthy by:

  • Giving nutrition education and counseling on foods provided by the state.
  • Assisting with access to medical care and other needed resources.
  • Having registered nurses and a registered dietician on staff.
  • Applying fluoride varnish treatments to applicable clients.

How to Apply

Step 1: Find a WIC clinic.
The Asotin County Health District is a WIC clinic.

Step 2: Make an appointment to apply for WIC.

WIC appointments are scheduled Mon & Wed 8:30AM - 4:00PM, Tues. 9:00AM - 4:00PM

WIC Walk -In the 2nd and 4th Friday of every month.

Step 3: Bring identification, proof of residency, and proof of income to your WIC appointment.
If you are pregnant, also bring proof of pregnancy. WIC staff will talk with you and fill out the information needed. You do not have to fill out a lot of paperwork. Eligible clients get WIC checks for food on the day of their appointment. No waiting!
