Oral Health: ABCD
Asotin County Health District has partnered with Washington Dental Service Foundation to assist children 0-5 years of age on Washington Medicaid to find a “dental home”.
The goal of the ABCD Program is to get children into the dentist as early as age one, as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. By having early and regular dental visits, the dental team is able to focus on preventing problems and avoiding tooth pain for your child later on in life.
ABCD Program benefits include:
- An initial dental exam and 2 exams per year, 6 months apart
- 3 fluoride varnish applications each year
- 2 parent education sessions (per year) during the exam
- Filling and other dental work, as needed
We can assist you with:
- Making an appointment
- Getting Transportation
- Needing an interpreter
- Fluoride Varnishes at the Health District office
- Oral Screens and Education
